As if we don't have enough to worry about - our children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews
and parents, etc. What are we going to do with them? We weren't born with a silver spoon in our mouth.
What can we really offer them? Times are hard now. Whether or not if you are a single parent or married, it is
becoming more difficult to make ends meet, let alone splurge every now and then.
Businesses that we thought would
be around forever are diminishing right before our eyes. Co-pays for doctor visits and prescriptions are becoming unaffordable
even for those who go to work every day. It's even harder than ever to get a job paying minimum wage. Can
you believe that?
We've turned to family so much that they no longer have it to spare. This struggle
is preposterous yet we do our best to cope with it by taking one day at a time. Despite it all, in the back of my mind
I can hear that old infamous saying, "Charity Begins At Home And Spreads Abroad", but what does that mean?
It doesn't take a scientist to see that not only have times changed but also it is continuing to change rapidly (day
by day). Once we really accept that fact I believe we will be much better off ... as finally, we now have a chance
to make a real difference in our lives and in the lives of others.
