CHARITY BEGINS AT HOME AND SPREADS ABROAD

As if we don't have enough to worry about - our children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews and parents, etc.  What are we going to do with them?  We weren't born with a silver spoon in our mouth.  What can we really offer them?  Times are hard now.  Whether or not if you are a single parent or married, it is becoming more difficult to make ends meet, let alone splurge every now and then.

Businesses that we thought would be around forever are diminishing right before our eyes.  Co-pays for doctor visits and prescriptions are becoming unaffordable even for those who go to work every day.  It's even harder than ever to get a job paying minimum wage.  Can you believe that?

We've turned to family so much that they no longer have it to spare.  This struggle is preposterous yet we do our best to cope with it by taking one day at a time.  Despite it all, in the back of my mind I can hear that old infamous saying, "Charity Begins At Home And Spreads Abroad", but what does that mean?

It doesn't take a scientist to see that not only have times changed but also it is continuing to change rapidly (day by day).  Once we really accept that fact I believe we will be much better off ... as finally, we now have a chance to make a real difference in our lives and in the lives of others.

Small businesses are popping up everywhere and are taking over in our society.  It's really not such a bad idea when you look at the fact that we've always gone to work for someone else, had to abide by "their" policy and procedures, limited income guidelines, favoritism, hours of operation and so on.

Well, now there is a club that changes that philosophy called NAABC, LLC (a.k.a. the National Association of America's Benevolence Club, LLC)!  It is a private club whose mission is to help others while helping yourself.  Its motto is "Supporting Small Businesses.  Supporting Charity.  Supporting Education."  Some of the things this club would like to do MORE of consist of donating means to charitable organizations, including research & development institutions, providing scholarships (regardless of age) and supporting our small business members.

This year we are asking others to join us in our efforts by placing business ads and patron ads in our directory.  It allows you to help someone less fortunate than you as the proceeds are distributed amongst various charities, etc.  We often say, "If I had more, I'd give more."  Here's your opportunity to do just that.  We encourage you to "Support The Charity Challenge."  For as little as $30 you've taken the first step towards _______________.
